Pool Fitness
Add a splash to your workouts! If you are looking for a refreshing way to exercise, but still get an amazing workout, try using our Lap Pool. You can enjoy Lap Swimming throughout the day or take one of our Aqua-Robics classes.
Aqua-Robics is an excellent workout class for those that may be coming back to exercise after an injury or rehabilitation. Also, for the elderly and pregnant women there is less stress on the joints. Check out our online pool schedule for class days and times.
Gilroy Health & Fitness is proud to offer our members who may have arthritis, balance, flexibility, muscular and neurological conditions an aquatic class just for them. Our Arthritis Foundation Aquatic class allows you to exercise safely without putting excess strain on your joints and muscles. The water provides a safe environment for relieving pain and stiffness. Pool Regulations
Lost pool keys are $50 and future pool usage will only be granted when key is replaced. Allowing non-members into the pool is an automatic expulsion of member privileges. Bathing Suites only! Proper swimwear must be worn. No cutoffs, shorts, leotards, thong suits or t-shirts are permitted. Infants and toddlers must wear swimsuits with elastic legs. Diapers are not allowed in the pool. Shoes must be worn to and from the pool, and long hair must be in a swim cap. Children 14 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult, in the pool or to the restroom. Lap lanes are for continuous swimmers only. Swimmers must share lanes and should circle swim when more than two swimmers are sharing a lane. Lap and Rec. swimmers are not permitted during scheduled water exercise training classes, unless otherwise posted. Not restrooms outdoors, use indoor facilities prior to entering the pool area. No smoking, food or glass containers allowed in the pool area. All persons using the pool, do so at their own risk, and are aware that unsafe pool activity may not only cause them harm, but result in permanent exclusion from the pool area. Gilroy Health & Fitness does not have a lifeguard on duty. The pool is checked once every hour by an employee to enforce pool guidelines and safety rules. Persons with skin infections, open wounds, or any communicable disease may not enter the pool. Please shower before entering the pool. Rinse off any suntan oils before entering the pool, unless they are waterproof lotions. No running, diving, jumping, dunking, pushing, or general roughhousing. No leaning, standing, or sitting on lap lanes. No excessively loud yelling or screaming or unsafe games.
