Our Core Beliefs

We have distilled the essence of our philosophy to Five Core Beliefs we believe you need to adopt in order to succeed in your quest for fitness.

  1. Trainer Rigo RetamozaLong-term success occurs when one develops self-reliance rather than prolonged dependence. Unless we are successful at producing self-sufficient individuals who are mastering these skills, we will never reach our goal of helping people achieve their fitness goals.
  2. The Catalyst for Motivation is Recognizable Change. Motivation changes the mind’s willingness to proceed. It creates hope, optimism, and inner-strength. For us, results equal physical improvement (change).
  3. It takes at least one year to establish a new metabolic set point: the body’s natural equilibrium shape and weight. Your body remembers. After losing fat, your body will attempt to replace it for a while. The more you allow old behavior to resurface, the more diligently your body will work to return the lost fat. A year of “clean-living” will reset the system.
  4. Lasting fat loss requires implementing 5 strategies
    • Food Strategy Maintain a constant blood sugar level and maximize a calorie deficit
    • Cardiovascular Strategy Mastering heart rate specific training
    • Strength Training Strategy In order to be lasting, change must focus on increasing lean muscle mass
    • Hydration Strategy Proper daily hydration is very important
    • Dietary Supplementation Complementing your food intake with proper dietary supplementation will allow you to get more out of your workout program
  5. Individuals who participate in the two-on-one (Buddy) system of training, have consistently produced superior results to those in one-on-one training. Observation suggest some of the reasons for this are the enjoyment of a partner’s support, the empathy of one who shares a goal, and the spirit of positive competitive forces.
